A mission-driven battery and solar manufacturer located in Santa Barbara, CA is looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join their team! The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the areas of cost accounting and project accounting.

Pay: $80K-$105K/yr + full benefits
Location: On-site in Santa Barbara, CA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Job Duties:
• Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage accounts receivable, ensuring all payments are collected and applied appropriately.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
• Month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and schedules of job cost accounts and all balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and review financial statements with a focus on job costing and project profitability.
• Manage and maintain the job cost accounting system, ensuring all costs are accurately recorded and allocated to the correct projects.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on job costing or project accounting.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, job costing methodologies, and financial analysis.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
